What is the true meaning of Christmas to you?

What is the real meaning of the true meaning of Christmas to you and why?What is the true meaning of Christmas to you?Christmas is about family and being in good spirit. It is the day Jesus was born. It was the day that Mary became a mother. It was a day that Mary had a family. So I have always considered it a family day. It is a joyful day when Jesus was born, so we make it a good day. We spend the whole day together. We always start the morning with opening presents. We have always had our kids believe that these gifts are representing the gifts from the three wise men. Then we spend the day hanging out together, watching Christmas movies, playing board games, eating, and we always drive around and look at Christmas decoration and lights when it gets dark.



It is all about Jesus and his family as transfered to present day.What is the true meaning of Christmas to you?
Family, not just my own but the world family.



During the first Christmas of the first world war the two opposing forces ceased hostilities and some soldiers on the front line shared their rations with the enemy, wishing each other a merry Christmas. The next day it was war as usual, but for that one day the spirit of Christmas was felt and shared. It has never happened since. What a pity.



P.s I love singing Christmas carols and am invited everywhere to sing them around Christmas.What is the true meaning of Christmas to you?It doesn't have a meaning to me. It's just blatant commercialism.
