let it snow, little drummer boy, last Christmas, silent night,
I am so sick of christmas music after all these years that I never want to hear some of those songs again.

I think there should be a universal, voluntary, revolving moratorium on certain christmas carols that varies each year. So, for instance, we might all agree to put "Walking In A Winter Wonderland" and "The Twelve Days Of Christmas," (for example) on hiatus after this year until, say, 2017. Then next year we could put a few more songs on the no-play list until 2018. Then when those years roll around, we can play those songs again for a few years and then put them away again. This way there might be songs we'd actually be looking FORWARD to hearing instead of having the same glut of tunes ground into our ears each year everywhere we go.

If you could get everyone on board with it as a new christmas tradition, I think it would work for most of the christmas music.

Except "The Little Drummer Boy," which should just be taken out and shot.

I mean, think about it. New baby trying to sleep, exhausted mother and father (or stepfather, I guess), and what do we do? Send in a little kid to pound on a DRUM! I'm sure that's just what they wanted. I'm always surprised there isn't a final verse where baby Jesus performs his first miracle and shuts up the little drummer boy by turning him into a bowl of mashed potatoes or something. Besides, the word "rump" has no place in a christmas carol.Christmas!!!!!!?
