When are you putting up your Christmas decorations?

I normally put up our Christmas tree etc in the third week of December, partly because my wife's birthday is at the end of November and she likes to have her cards on display for at least two weeks. Last night however, I decided it was time the Christnas tree was put in place, because I think we needed a bit of Christmas cheer.



So, let's say fooey to the credit crunch and let's all have a crackingly good Christmas.

My hubby was made redundant we nearly lost our home and my children have been very ill! My son needing hospital treatment, we also found out some very unpleasant news about members of our family! Anyway in Nov hubby started his new Job, my son got good news at the hospital and when hubby got his first wages I thought sod it bring on christmas and 2009 so we put up the tree and had a little party to celebrate!

Our tree has been up for almost 2 weeks now! I also have the house and the yard decorated, and the outdoor lights have been on just as long! I love Christmas, the lights, the decorations, cheery people, everything! Whenever the cards really start pilling up.. a couple of days before Xmas we put a flashing star in the office window, but only really because it bugs my dad when he works ;)
