I just realised everything I bought for all my family last year is either in a bin or they don't use it anymore. I've been going mad christmas shopping. I gotta buy a present for this person and that person.
My list of people I have to buy presents for was about 50 and that is just family, a few mates and a colleague at work.
I think im wasting my time now.
Just me or do people in this country waste money on junk? How many of you have realised you spend money on junk this Christmas? My parents and my brother have never really been into all that gift buying at Christmas, it's just me and my sister. I think we associate it too much with caring about someone. A gift doesn't mean anything and Im too broke and lazy to go around shopping for anyone this year. No one is getting anything from me.
I did realise how much money I do spend on nonsense though, just not Christmas nonsense. The other day I calculated how much money I spend on magazines a year. I buy Vogue and Marie Claire every month. Vogue is 拢3.80 and it's gone up 10p this month for some reason and Marie Claire is 拢3.30, that is 拢85.20 a year all together! To think of all the nice things I could buy with that. It's such a waste of money. I'll give up magazine buying next year. Its one of my new years resolution. How many of you have realised you spend money on junk this Christmas?
I don't buy Christmas presentsHow many of you have realised you spend money on junk this Christmas?I spent all my money on gold back in January. I dont hold cash for Obama to make worthless. How many of you have realised you spend money on junk this Christmas?
buy american made socks etc.How many of you have realised you spend money on junk this Christmas?I don't spend that much and what I do buy is not junk.
It's time Xmas was abolished, waste of time and money and no I don't buy junk. How many of you have realised you spend money on junk this Christmas?
My neices of which i have 3, one is 12 and has her own phone so i get her credit for the phone the other 2 are 5 and 3 i get the youngest dora the explorer her sister the five year old i'll get her what i a haven't a clue. 5-10 year olds are impossible to buy for. Christmas is a time for junk thats true. But i've known kids to get stuff that the parent has worked their socks off to get them and the wee bastards destroy it within a month. The old PS2 for example, new out of the box and they get their mates dads mate to chip it so it plays copied games. The modification wrecks the PS2 and they go crying for another one! the mum gives in and gets them it and they ask me to get them a game. I got them grand theft auto san andreas. They fight over that for a month then their mates get the new PS3 and now they don't want that anymore they want what their mates have. Your not wasting you money, its ungrateful children who waste your money for you.
For 4 years I have not been given a Christmas present and I am only 15. =/ My parents kept telling me since I was 12 that I was to old for presents. -.-. It sucks when others can not receive presents. How many of you have realised you spend money on junk this Christmas?
u should make a pact with the family and friends to only buy for the kids..........that way everybody saves on the time and expense and lets face it most of the stuff u buy and get bought isnt even stuff u want or need..........christmas is all about the shops making a profit and plunging people into debt that can take until next xmas to pay off for some
You are so right!
And every year the suckers keep coming back for more.
Recently I learned that Chinese toys are sourced at the factory at 1% of their UK High St retail price, a 拢10 toy costs 10p, a 拢30 one 30p, and every year they are found to be toxic examples.
What I have done is send a donation to a charity on behalf those who I would buy token presents for, that way people who really deserve better at Christmas get help, and my cash is not wasted on useless cardboard and plastic Chinese toxic garbage.
