What is the best kind of writable paint to use for Christmas balls?

I'd like to write names of my dinner guests on Christmas balls. They will be taking them home. Do you also have creative ideas for more enhancement decorations for these balls? They are just plain red balls. What is the best kind of writable paint to use for Christmas balls?Just use a fine-tipped paintbrush for the names. You may want to write on them with a fine-tip marker pen first just so you can follow the lines. It's harder to write with a paint brush. What is the best kind of writable paint to use for Christmas balls?I would try some of the paint markers available at craft stores. I'd also try some of the gold or silver felt tip markers. Designate one ball as your trial ball, and then try out various markers and techniques on it.

Once you find a marker that you like, you can write and then put some stars or swirls or curlicues on the balls quite easily. I made some personalized balls from the plastic balls, and I just did some freehanded starts and swirls. Even though I'm not particularly good at freehand stuff, the balls came out looking very nice, and everyone asked for more balls this year, they loved them.

You can find some stickers that are long strips of designs, these look nice going around the balls in bands, too.
