Besides Turkey or Ham, what are some other good main entrees for Christmas Dinner? There are only two of us.?

My husband and I recently moved more than 2000 miles away from both our families so we will be having Christmas dinner alone this year. I don't want to make a turkey (we don't have a big enough oven since we are living in an RV anyway) or ham. Other suggestions?Besides Turkey or Ham, what are some other good main entrees for Christmas Dinner? There are only two of us.?I'd do either a Quail each, or a roast duck, a roast pork loin (with crackling) or for something a bit different make bonbons.

Cook an onion with some garlic and thyme in some butter. Stir in a little flour, cook a few minutes, then stir in a little white wine and cream to make a very thick sauce. Dice some cooked ham (or chicken, or a better yet a mixture of the 2) and stir through. Season to taste.

Take a sheet of puff pastry, and put half of the ham mixture in the centre, then roll up the pastry to a log. Pinch the ends in, and tie off with spring onion or chives so that it looks like a Christmas cracker. Repeat for the other one. Brush with an egg/milk wash. Sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired

Cook in the oven on high until the pastry is puffed and golden. Serve with your choice of vegetables, and cranberry sauce if you like.

You can adjust the herbs to suit your preference. A little mustard would be a nice addition.

This is also nice with prawns (shrimp) and salmon with chives and tarragon.Besides Turkey or Ham, what are some other good main entrees for Christmas Dinner? There are only two of us.?
I've always cooked a London broil for Christmas. Besides Turkey or Ham, what are some other good main entrees for Christmas Dinner? There are only two of us.?Cornish Game Hens. One each is a good serving. Looks like a little Turkey and is very tasty. Besides Turkey or Ham, what are some other good main entrees for Christmas Dinner? There are only two of us.?

Seafood is very popular. Lobster, shrimp, salmon, etc. Pizza is always yummy too! Besides Turkey or Ham, what are some other good main entrees for Christmas Dinner? There are only two of us.?

A rack of lamb would be nice as well, small enough for just the two of you. Always a good choice and a special treat for Christmas.
I had filet mignons and twice baked potatoes, etc. for Christmas dinner last year since there were only 2 of us. The year before I made a marinated eye of round (1/2 actually) so we could enjoy the "planned overs" also.

But if you really enjoy ham, you could just grill or broil a ham steak to enjoy.
In the Far East they have Peking Duck at Christmas/New Year's time. Why don't you go to your favorite Chinese restaurant and order one to take home.

Or do what I used to do when living in Atlantic City area... my wife had cancer and could not cook, so we ordered from a good restaurant a half turkey (don't remember if left or right half?) Christmas dinner with all the trimmings. I picked it up all packaged and ready to eat. Yummy!
Duck is lovely on Christmas, but cornish game hens would also be fun and romantic. You cold also make a nice roast pork loin and serve with potatoes au gratin.
a roast chicken and vegetable with lots of gravy

a rack of lamb

a small roasted shoulder of pork with yummy crackling and baked apples

a roast beef marinated with red wine and herbs

I'd go with something special that you both love to eat -but don't get to very often or you could cook whatever your partners favourite meal is
I would suggest ..

Soup; Red Lentil Soup

Main course; Pot Roast With Red Wine and Mushrooms

Dessert; Anything with chocolate in it :] teehee xD

And maybe even some garlic bread or any favorite side dish you two love !
