Are the stumps from christmas trees good for firewood in an outside fire pit?

Someone close to my area is selling christmas tree fire wood. We have a pit outside to burn it. Is this type of wood okay and good to burn?Are the stumps from christmas trees good for firewood in an outside fire pit? As long as you burn it outside. Pine has a lot of creosote in it that gets in your flue. It binds to the sides and can catch on fire and burn down your house. Not a Good wood to burn in a fireplace, firebox, etc.

pay attention to SEM.... the creosote is not a good thing... and outside, pine snaps and throws embers so either use a mesh spark arrestor or stay aware and keep water handy!!....Are the stumps from christmas trees good for firewood in an outside fire pit?As long as it's dry it should burn well. Hi Christmas tree stumps burn great and give off the great smell of pine. Just make sure it is dry first.Are the stumps from christmas trees good for firewood in an outside fire pit?well all wood burns.. and I assume pine like trees do burn well.

You bet! Pine wood has pitch in it and once it starts to burn, it doesn't go out very easy. If you have a fireplace inside your house either way it burns slow and hot.
