Out of all the many problems we're facing these days:



Poverty

Food Shortage

Energy Shortage

War and Violence

Environmental Damages

Crime

Pollution

Economic Problems

Educational Standards *maybe?

Squandering of Resources

Quality of Life

Health Care

Job Outsourcing



Out of all these problems and perhaps more, is the main reason overpopulation? Would this world run a helluva lot more smoothly if we had say 3 or 4 billion people as opposed to 7 billion?



Now don't get me wrong. I do not at all suggest we commit a mass genocide and weed out 3 billion people just to stabilize things, but what could we do to fix our problems or slow and even reduce the human population?....In a reasonable, logical, and humane way. (i.e. should families be encouraged to have only 1 or 2 children *not forced of course*)?Do you think many of todays problems are attributed to overpopulation?You seem to have a very good understanding of the problems caused by overpopulation.



Overpopulation exists wherever the number of people exceed the ability of the environment to support it. And that has now happened on a global scale.



Although overpopulation is a global problem, it is in underdeveloped countries where birthrates are highest and the disadvantages are felt the most. But the problem is spreading because of the migration of these disadvantaged populations in search of a better life elsewhere.

If we could calmly discuss the problem, we could expose the myths about population control being perpetuated by the ignorant. Myths like genocide, eugenics, forced legislation and coercion.
