Have we become the victims of some kind of environmental degradation induced madness?

This week and the last one we have been witnessing through TV, the worst monsoon rains in a long time that have hit Bangladesh and India (and Sri Lanka?). People have fled to roof tops that are not even that safe since they are made out of natural materials. Relief aid has come in but is not as effective as hoped because of the large areas affected and some are isolated. Many have had to eat plant roots, rats, snails and the likes inorder to survive. A reporter on BBC said that 40% of what we know as Bangladesh is under water. I believe we are not being well informed as to how to think about the whole situation or how to behave. Al Gore's effort only shedded light on the problem but don't we need proper guide lines on how to save ourselves or the animals because I'm sure they want no part in our mental madness. What exactly is going on?Have we become the victims of some kind of environmental degradation induced madness?Floods are normal in Bangladesh but extreme floods are a concern.

It's not just environmental degradation. A large part of Bangladesh is a delta where only the poorest can build low income housing to live. It's more a symptom of poverty than pure ecological negligence.Have we become the victims of some kind of environmental degradation induced madness? The Earth is cleansing itself from all the creatures that do it harm. AKA humans.Have we become the victims of some kind of environmental degradation induced madness?
It is called GLOBAL WARMING.Have we become the victims of some kind of environmental degradation induced madness? What is going on? Well, there's the new film at the Plaza, Mrs. Hawkins has had another one. (Her fifth) and Samantha hopes to go round the world for her gap year. BTW lovely weather isn't it?
sin is the cause but they think its the environment, so they egnore the sin carry on with the environment action which will not stop nothing. but the disasters will continue because of the wicked.Have we become the victims of some kind of environmental degradation induced madness?
Bangladesh has always had monsoon-related mass fatalities. This latest one is barely a blip on the radar compared to the early 80's, and nothing compared to the last century, when the nation was essentially depopulated several times. You need to look at the history of the region before getting all fired up about some doom-and-gloom scenario. As awful as it is, if it wasn't a monsoon or a tsunami in Bangladesh, it would be plague that killed all the people. Only so many people can live on swampland. Natural phenomena are always going to limit population if social forces don't.

Honestly, critical thinking skills are worth developing.
I'll try to inject a little common sense into this enviromental histeria. There have been periods huge weather fluctuationsTHAT went on FOR years that science has failed to explain. Just one example was the mini ice age in the middle ages that lasted for years. No explanation. I do think the burning of fossil fuels has something to do with it. At the same time throughout history there have been huge forest fires . Can you imagine how much co2 that is released in the millions of acres of forest that have been burnt throughout history. Just a little something to think about. T4Have we become the victims of some kind of environmental degradation induced madness?
Please don't let the sad sacks mess with head, explain that enquiring minds want to know!

I do believe the damage we do to the environment does effect our brains if we recieve too much input and send out the wrong output, in other words we hear about the degrading condition of our world yet we stress internal about how much we do and don't do to fix it personally.
