Along with Santa Claus candies and candy cane, saying it goes against their beliefs, seeing they are Atheists, and some of their students are Atheist,

do they have the right to take the fun part of Christmas away from the kids,?

And they won't allow saying Merry Christmas, you are supposed to say Happy Holy days,

Is that not going against the amendment of free speech?

Chelmsford, Mass. - A Chelmsford elementary school has placed restrictions on the holiday gift-shop.



The Byam Elementary School has decided to ban Santa, candy canes, stockings, and all Christmas, Hanukkah and other "religious items" from being sold at the annual holiday gift shop.



Two mothers, Kathryn McMillan and Kathleen Cullen, who both have children at Byam, met with the PTO Thursday night in hopes they would reconsider, but school officials said no.



McMillan told the Lowell Sun that red and green tissue wrapping paper was also crossed off the list because it looked too "Christmasy."



Superintendent Donald Yeoman says Byam Principal Jane Gilmore is in charge of the rules at the school鈥檚 gift shop and that the rules were mandated so that no child would be left out



I think that is the same place ICE was talking about, who knows what else they teach the kids there, probably have singing Obama praises instead of Christmas Carols,

I don't know if they were Liberals, but I can't imagine who else hates Angels but them,
Here in my State it is happening, and that is Washington State, also some in Oregon, big protest over something Christmas today, having to do with taking away a huge Christmas tree from a shopping center, apparently some shoppers can't go in there with that evil tree,..also I saw on the news, something where a school is being sued, by very angry parents, !

Really?..that's weird considering my kids have already brought Christmas projects home this year. My youngest made an ornament with her name %26amp; picture on it. And I'm sending a bag of candy canes to school on Monday for their Christmas party. Hmmm...first I've heard of this.

They dont want to offend the 15 to 20 percent of people that dont celebrate christmas. They'd rather offend the 80 to 85 percent that do.
If they don't like it they can whinge elsewhere, it has been going on long before they were born and it will continue long after they pass.
They aren't. It must be very convenient to make stuff up and then be outraged about the stuff you just made up. Saves a lot of time I am sure.

Liberals believe in satan.
Liberals practice their own religion, like following Obama, or having faith in Al Gore, or believing in democrats as their saviours. To have any competing beliefs is unacceptable to liberals.



Also, to a liberal, the highest authority in their lives is the government. Religion is about higher authority, above some liberal government, and this too is just not tolerated by liberals.



Teachers these days are teaching students WHAT to think rather than HOW to think on their own, hence we have a whole generation of brain damaged losers who think liberals have all the answers. In their minds, the establishment clause means nobody can talk about religion, nobody can promote anything that smacks of a religious belief, despite the fact that Christmas is a long held tradition in the USA, and does not represent an establishment of a religion.



Oh well, liberalism is a sickness with no cure. One thing that often changes liberals into becoming conservatives is when they start a business, try to hire employees, and begin to deal with the ridiculous number of rules and regulations and expenses involved with creating a job. Then they begin to see what's wrong with liberals. It's called "growing up" and opening up your eyes. Notice how liberals generally are students, teachers, actors etc. who don't live in the real world where the rest of us live. We create jobs, create the standard of living that liberals enjoy but don't understand.
Your answer is simple. Separation of church and state.



If you don't like the basic beliefs this country was founded upon, I suggest these people send their children to private school.



They could sue, and they would loose. Now go re-read the constitution.

Which are the states? I was a teacher for 33 years and there was never, ever such a restriction and this was in the "liberal" west.
